A new measure of success for WA students beyond NAPLAN and ATAR

“There’s also the anxiety factor of sitting those ATAR exams, when there are other pathways available, so not just anxiety but to the wellbeing factors that are being taken into consideration by lots of students.”

As a result, All Saints’ College is taking part in a national project examining additional metrics of assessment to NAPLAN and ATAR.

The Bull Creek college is one of 37 Australian schools that have partnered with education researchers at the University of Melbourne to take part in the New Metrics for Success program, which launched last week with the goal of “transforming what we value in schools”.
