Glenbrook Dam: Police investigating suspected human remains at John Forrest National Park
Detectives are investigating the discovery of what’s believed to be human remains at a national park east of Perth.
Police have confirmed that the grim discovery was made on Monday afternoon at a dam within John Forrest National Park in Hovea, about 35km east of Perth.
“Just after 12.35pm…police were called to Glenbrook Dam, Hovea after what is believed to be human remains were located,” a police statement read.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
It’s understood police divers have been called in to help with the inquiry, and that homicide squad detectives are at the scene.
There is no further information at this stage as to the possible age and gender of the human remains.
