WA government offering huge discounts on local holiday stays to support struggling industry

The hotel industry has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lack of international travellers.
But the WA government is hoping to rectify the downturn by offering rebates to encourage locals to consider a Perth hotel stay.
On Monday it launched an initiative called Stay, Play and Save, offering a $200 discount at up to 80 participating hotels across Perth, Scarborough, Fremantle, Rockingham and the Swan Valley.
